Kuala Lumpur, 15 April 2018 - Asia’s largest and most highly-anticipated defence and security exhibition, Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition and Conference, is once again set to position Malaysia as a regional leader in the defence and security sector.
Celebrating “30 Years in the Defence Show Business”, DSA 2018 has become the first and only show in the world to successfully feature both defence and national security side-by-side on a single platform.
The 16th installation of DSA will see the launch of the first National Security Asia (NATSEC Asia) 2018, the brand new international exhibition on National Security for Asia. Fully supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), NATSEC Asia will focus on all national security sectors including public safety.
A truly dedicated national security show, NATSEC Asia reflects the urgent need for governments and defence mechanisms in Asia to collectively examine and address issues of national and regional security.
At the heart of NATSEC Asia 2018 is a special highlight on cyber security through its ‘Cyber Security & Defence Zone’, which will feature the Cyber Security & Defence Seminar supported by the National Security Council and the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA).
To date, 340 delegations from 45 countries have confirmed attendance to DSA & NATSEC Asia. Special delegations include Ministers of Home Affairs (ASEAN), Ministers of Defence, Inspector Generals of Police, Chiefs of Defence, Navy, Army and Air Force, as well as other heads of national security entities from the ASEAN region.
Ranked as one of the Top Five Defence Shows in the World, DSA 2018 will showcase a record-breaking 1,500 companies from 60 countries, representing the global defence and security sector.
In addition to returning segments, the biennial show will also feature its first-ever ‘Empowering Women in Defence & Security Forum’, a timely addition to their programme line-up. The Forum will highlight women holding key positions in defence and security as they come together to discuss the current and future role of women in the field as well as the unique challenges they face.
