DSA 2020 & NATSEC ASIA 2020 TO BE HELD FROM 20 – 23 APRIL 2020 AT MITEC

RM18.4 billion worth of contracts signed on penultimate day of DSA 2018 & NATSEC Asia 2018

Kuala Lumpur, 18 April 2018 – DSA 2018 and NATSEC Asia 2018 have set many new records and broken the bar on several fronts. The signing of multi-billion ringgit contracts and the convergence of an unprecedented number of individuals from the world’s defence and security communities under one roof - these were but just some of the highlights at the event, which will come to a close on Thursday, 19 April 2018 after four eventful and productive days at MITEC itn Kuala Lumpur. 
 
Celebrating “30 Years in the Defence Show Business”, DSA 2018 has become the first and only show in the world to successfully feature both defence and national security side-by-side on a single platform. 

Recognised as one of the top five defence and security exhibitions in the world, DSA 2018 – the biggest yet in the DSA series - witnessed the participation of 1,500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and the attendance of over 350 top government officials and foreign delegations. 

The event showcased cutting edge defence and security technology and services and provided the platform for successful networking, business collaborations and strategic alliances. It also enabled armed forces and security personnel to avail themselves of the latest developments in the industry. 

Today, YB. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Minister of Defence and Minister with Special Functions, Malaysia announced that DSA 2020 and NATSEC Asia 2020 would be held from 20 – 23 April 20 at MITEC. 

Today also saw the signing ceremony of contract documents and hand-over of Letters of Acceptance (LOA), Letter of Intent (LOI) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was coordinated by  the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA). 

The Malaysian government announced a total of eight contracts, three MoUs, six Offsets, ten LOAs and three LOIs valued at RM18.4 billion. Most of the contract value is contributed by six offset programmes with a value of RM14.4 billion. 

Co-organised, supported and hosted by the Ministry of Defence & Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia, the co-located shows are fully supported by the Malaysian Armed Forces, Royal Malaysian Police, National Security Council, as well as several other national security agencies including Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Immigration Department of Malaysia, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Malaysian Prison Department, Fire & Rescue Department of Malaysia, and
Royal Malaysia Police Cooperative Limited. 

The final day of DSA 2018 and NATSEC Asia 2018 will be held on 19 April 2018 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
